THE UK Oncology Nursing Society annual conference, held last week, provided evidence of an active, healthy and vibrant profession engaged in extending its body of knowledge. However, in general, there remains an abiding impression that overall conference attendance is falling and is increasingly becoming the preserve of a diminishing core of clinical leaders and academics.
