Two NHS initiatives to address concerns and boost confidence in minority ethnic groups have triggered a rise in service user numbers. Erin Dean reports

Despite campaigns to highlight the importance of cervical screening, there has been a decline in the number of eligible women opting for smear tests. This article focuses on work with minority ethnic groups to create awareness, boost confidence, resolve concerns and improve service uptake.
