Bladder cancer is a common health problem affecting thousands of people in the UK. People who develop the disease receive care and treatment from a wide range of healthcare professionals. Nurses are well placed to educate patients about lifestyle modifications that may help reduce the risk of developing the disease. To help ensure that patients are supported during and after treatment it is useful for nurses to have an understanding of the patient pathway, from diagnosis and treatment to long-term follow up.
