An application of learning theory

This article describes how a group of students and tutors used a number of educational theories in undertaking a military-style survival exercise. The emotions and perceptions experienced by the group were analysed in subsequent group discussions and have helped to develop an awareness of interpersonal leadership skills which can now be taken forward into clinical settings.
