Andrew Preston’s attempt to ‘tidy up' a booklet for injecting drug users soon grew into a major rewrite. Here he describes some of the dilemmas he faced

The thought of people injecting themselves with unsterile drugs used to make me cringe, but while on placement with Exeter Drugs Project during my post registration RMN training, it was something I had to get used to pretty quickly.
