Feelings of 'them' and 'us' still abound between managers and those who are managed. But managers have their own problems to contend with

It's unlikely that very many starry eyed student nurses ever expect to reach the dizzy heights of management, although a few certainly do set out with their sights set on a Chief Nurse post. No doubt nurses still involved in the day to day clinical care of patients would hesitate to describe themselves as managers, even though management is an integral part of every nurse's everyday role.
