Student experiences

Mary was admitted to hospital with faecal impaction and dehydration. She had been diagnosed with bowel cancer. A bowel resection was performed, forming a colostomy for palliative reasons. During her recovery Mary was regularly incontinent of urine and a sacral pressure sore developed.
