Daniel Allen says nurses are feisty – unlike limp vegetables

My mum’s local paper once carried the headline ‘OAP chokes to death on Brussels sprout’, which goes to show you are never safe with a limp vegetable. But it also demonstrates that even in Eastbourne the media works in mysterious ways. You might have thought the local press would have a vested interest in promoting the town as a jolly, kiss-me-quick kind of place rather than as home to killer vegetables. Clearly not.
