Am I going standard life bananas or is fruit really that good for you?
I was talking bananas with Sir Donald Acheson the other day. I don’t like dropping names, as I said to the Duchess of Arbroath, but he is integral to the story. Anyway, Sir Donald, former chief medical officer and author of an impressive study on health inequalities, was extolling the virtues of free fruit for school kids which, he says, is a vital step to a healthier nation.
