Tank tops - a lesson in ignored warnings
Mistakes. I've made a few. not least of which were the brown nylon pyjamas that sparked in the dark. Then there were the purple flares, circa 1974. a close second in my top ten of style errors, which also includes a much-loved orange bobble hat. a multicoloured tank top. and bright red brothel creepers that necessitated a lesson in safe perambulation from the shop assistant before I was allowed to drive them solo.
