This punk's got a point about minority groups

If, in the words of the old song, it's hard to be a cowboy in Rochdale, it was even harder being a punk in rural Sussex, miles from any urban anomie and where not owning a Range Rover was the closest came to anarchy. But despite my lack of qualifications for the job of spiky-haired, iconoclastic antichrist, I like to think I pogoed to punk's beat, even if it did mean asking my mum for a lift to Crawley to see the Clash.
