A big hand for the party conferences - they're so worthwhile, aren't they?

Well, thank goodness that's finished. Just when the class war looked like dragging on into the next century, General Blair declared it over. I'm not certain who won, but now we've all been annexed by Tone's new model army, marching in nice suits and fixed grins to the tune of Millbank pagers and the conference-season soundbite. I suspect it was a victory for the forces of uncritical thought.
