Cost should not be a factor in cancer care

In response to Helen Gilbert’s report, the cost of cancer care (Analysis November 10), I agree with Professor Maynard that based on clinical effectiveness a nurse would opt to give a cancer patient, or any other patient for that matter, the longest period of quality life to live.
