REMEMBERING the frustrations of the talented black and ethnic minority nursing sisters I worked with when I was a staff nurse, I first felt the need to receive clinical supervision when I became a sister myself. I had seen a lack of support and respect for these sisters, which resulted in stress and a sometimes chaotic working environment.
