Florence Eileen Elliott was one of the most outstanding nurses that Northern Ireland has produced. Born in 1905 near Randalstown, Co Antrim, she began her training at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast in May 1927 and remained on the staff of the hospital for several years.
