More students denied accomodation

Claire Hopkins , University of Surrey Guildford

I was both angered and relieved to read about the plight of the nursing students from Middlesex University (Trust’s plans make students homeless’ News June 12). As a second year degree nursing student about to enter my third year, I was led to believe that our main hospital would accommodate us in our third year. A few weeks ago I discovered that the accommodation that has been available to previous degree students on a ‘grace and favour’ basis will not be available to us next year. We too were in a predicament of being homeless!
