Practical endocrinology and diabetes in children

Emma Day Clinical nurse specialist/ diabetes home care co-ordinator Diabetes home care, Birmingham children’s hospital

THIS BOOK is a useful introduction to basic diabetes and endocrinology in children. The inclusion of case studies helps the reader to address some of the commonly seen problems affecting these children. It is written in an easy-to-read style and the references and practice points are current. Use of illustrations and pictures make some of the more difficult to describe elements of the conditions easier to understand. The text is a good introduction for nurses in this area of practice.
