Life after darkness

Life After Darkness is the account of a doctor’s journey through the worst of depression and, thankfully, into recovery. With a diary that she kept during that time, and referring to medical notes written about her, Cathy has produced a book that should become required reading for anyone involved in mental health care. It is an extraordinary, honest and disturbing read. It is compelling and cathartic. It elicits an emotional response, and by so doing it demands discussion.
