In February, Chris Beasley, the Chief Nursing Officer for England, announced that a review was to take place of mental health nursing. The review seeks to answer the general question, ‘How can mental health nurses (MHNs) make the greatest contribution to the care of people with mental health problems in the future?’ and will produce a strategy for mental health nursing in NHS funded care in England.
