Mark Kelly explains why the term ‘personality disorder’ is inappropriate – and asks readers to suggest an alternative

IN THIS article I call for a change in terminology for the diagnosis ‘personality disorder’. I consider it to be outmoded, irrelevant and unhelpful in an era when political correctness and mental health and wellbeing are fashionable.
