Clinical manual for management of PTSD

Paul Rogers Professor, Forensic nursing, faculty of health, sports and science, University of Glamorgan

A COMPREHENSIVE and robust overview of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is offered in this impressive American textbook. There are contributions from a number of eminent researchers/clinicians who are leading authorities in their respective fields, however only three of the 43 contributors come from outside North America and only one from the UK. This is a strength and weakness. While it does not attempt to provide an international perspective, its North American focus can be distracting to a UK reader. However, much of the content is relevant to any audience.
