Nurse-led colorectal cancer surveillance reduces number of avoidable colonoscopies

Putting nurses in charge of colorectal cancer surveillance instead of doctors has been shown to reduce the number of unnecessary colonoscopies and of the cases progressing to cancer, a study has found.
