As programme lead for advanced clinical practice, I often have to juggle the needs of students, employers and colleagues. This challenge is exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which is stretching us all to the limit, regardless of our roles. Frontline healthcare professionals are struggling to meet service demands, and cope with the additional emotional burden of supporting patients, their families and each other.
